Glen Ridge

Spring Leaf Pick Up

New Jersey State Law prohibits disposal of leaves with other garbage at the resource recovery facility. The Borough is mandated to provide pick-up and removal to an approved, designated compost area.

The Borough of Glen Ridge has contracted a truck to specifically pick-up bagged leaves at curbside, beginning the week of April 16, 2018 and terminating May 2, 2018. Residents must use biodegradable bags or CLEAR plastic bags. No black bags will be accepted for pick up.

These curbside pick-ups will be made on your FIRST regular scheduled garbage collection each week.

  • If your garbage is picked-up on Mondays and Thursdays, Monday will be your leaf collection day, beginning April 16, and terminating with a final pick up date of April 30, 2018
  • If your garbage is picked-up on Tuesdays and Fridays, Tuesday will be your leaf collection day, beginning April 17, and terminating with a final pick up date of May 1, 2018.
  • If your garbage is picked-up on Wednesdays and Saturdays, Wednesday will be your leaf collection day beginning April 18, and terminating with a final pick up date of on May 2, 2018.

Leaves may not be placed at curbside on your second collection day of the week; Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
