Rental Guidelines
Set-Up
Reservations are booked with specific start and conclusion times. When making reservations, you should be certain that the time frame you book includes ample time to set-up and break-down your event. The Center can accommodate up to 85 people, but this number will decrease as buffet tables, etc. are included. A limited number of tables and chairs will be provided. No food, beverages, decorations or equipment may be stored before or after your event. Renters may request that Darwin Street be closed to traffic during functions taking place on Saturday, Sunday and holidays 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM only. Please keep in mind that use of Darwin Street will not increase the number of people the Center can accommodate.
Clean Up
You are required to clean-up, remove all equipment and vacate the building by the designated conclusion time. It is your responsibility to restore the facility to the condition in which it was rented. You must supply trash bags. You are responsible for the complete clean-up and disposal of garbage/trash in the containers provided outside the perimeter of the building. Brooms, vacuums, and wet mops are available. No food, liquor or equipment may be stored overnight. After the event, The Glen Ridge Senior-Community Center staff will inspect the facility. Any damages to the room caused by your group, or unsatisfactory clean-up will be charged to you.
Decorations
You may decorate the area you have rented, but decorations may not be taped, glued, stapled, or nailed to any part of the walls, ceilings, windows, or light fixtures, and care should be taken to remove them so that there is no damage to the facility. Helium filled balloons must be secured and removed at the conclusion of your event. No candles, confetti or glitter allowed. You must discuss your plans to use any decorations with the Glen Ridge Recreation Coordinator at the time is booked.
